From Inverness Heading south we can, on a clear day get spectacular views of Ben Nevis from the Commando Memorial. Watched by 45 million people world-wide, it is filmed around Loch Laggan where the magnificent Ardverikie House, the original choice by Queen Victoria for a Highland retreat, portrays the ancestral Glenbogle House. Mrs. Brown starring Dame Judy Dench was also filmed in this area. Crossing heather clad hills once belonging to the clan MacPherson we emerge at Dalwhinnie, home to the classic malt whisky. Up and over the Drumochter Pass catching a brief but magnificent view of Blair Castle there will be a comfort stop in picturesque Pitlochry in the luscious Atholl Forrest, we then cross the Forth Road Bridge viewing the superlative Forth Rail Bridge before arriving home witha million memories.
